Our Mission
HER Music is a youth music initiative created to encourage more girls to join, stay in, and lead within school band programs.
We believe every girl deserves the chance to perform, create, and lead in music while surrounded by other girls who inspire her and remind her that she belongs. By building confidence early, HER Music hopes to make girls feel more comfortable stepping into musical spaces, choosing the instruments they love, and becoming role models for the next generation.
Music has always been hers.
HER Music exists to change the ratio on stage, in the pit, and in the studio — through performance, mentorship, and community for women instrumentalists.
The Vision

A major goal of HER Music is to form a girls band with girls of any level. This will be built through a mentorship program with advanced players alongside girls working to enhance their musical development.
